The office for EU projects and vocational qualification (GEB) offers mobility opportunities to other European countries for teachers of vocational colleges from the district of Duesseldorf. A partner school or institution will be visited, which gives the participants insights into an innovative system or concept. At the beginning of a mobility, the teachers receive on-site input to get to know the foreign school system and the partner institution‘s main emphasis on their work. Afterwards, the implementation of the concept will be analysed in order to establish a link between theory and practice. The aim of teacher mobility is to gain insights from best practice examples of European partners that can be adopted for one's own lessons. Topics of past teacher mobility were "Implementation of the CLIL concept at French vocational schools" or "Internships abroad and Inclusion in Como". Usually, 10 to 15 people can take place in an activity. The announcement for mobility activities is given by the EU office. After a stay abroad, working groups are often formed in order to work out concepts based on the impressions gained abroad. The learning stays are financially supported by Erasmus+ funds.
