Web Lab

As part of WebLab, a web-based mentoring approach to school support for internships abroad was designed and implemented. The concept helps learners to discover their own skills and competencies and then include them into their learning process.
As part of WebLab, a web-based mentoring approach to school support for internships abroad was designed and implemented. The concept helps learners to discover their own skills and competencies and then include them into their learning process. This procedure also opens up opportunities to acquire skills in dealing with digital media that enable appropriate design knowledge and creativity in a media-oriented world. In order to accompany learners in the preparation, implementation and follow-up of their learning processes, the media format Weblog was developed, which offers the following advantages:
  • It helps both learners and teachers to track the learning objectives. For this purpose, the weblog is already used at school in the course of the learning units to prepare for the internship abroad.
  • The weblog enables users to communicate and interact flexibly during their stay abroad. Therefore, it sensibly complements a summary reflection and evaluation that is often only carried out after the learning stay has been completed.
  • Learners can use the weblog for reporting, to record experiences and to reflect on their experiences.
  • You can get advice and support via the weblog during your stay abroad.
The GEB, as a coordinator, carried out the project from 1st October 2013 to 30th September 2015 together with partners from Germany, Spain, France, Turkey, Austria and Finland.
