The mobility is funded by the ERASMUS+ program of the European Commission. The amount of the scholarships varies depending on the target country. Usually, an internship lasts between at least 14 days and 3 weeks. The following countries are suitable as target countries: Norway, Denmark, Luxembourg, Iceland, Sweden, Ireland, Finland, Liechtenstein, Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Cyprus, Greece, Malta, Portugal, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Croatia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Turkey, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Serbia.

Internships abroad have added value for pupils and trainees, as they expand their professional skills and develop their personality. The learners gain new experiences and acquire know-how and working methods through their stay abroad. Hereby, they get a competitive advantage which enables them to position themselves better in their respective branch, which is also a benefit for companies.

Interested pupils or trainees can contact the GEB directly. In addition, they can gather information about mobility abroad through the responsible teachers or EU coordinators at their vocational college.

The GEB coordinates the formal handling of mobility and organizes the participants' health, accident and liability insurance. The organization of the internship itself and the agreement of the contents lies within the learners’ or the vocational colleges’ responsibility.
